Recruitment into TCO community is subject to the discretion and application of the gaming communities that make up TCO. Each gaming community is free to design their own method and practice for recruitment. The thought behind this is that each community of active players within the respective game is in a position to modify their practice to better facilitate the growth of TCO in that game and the growth of TCO as a whole.

"Method and Practice" is defined as that which exists outside the Standard Application Process (to be outlined below) inherent to all TCO games and applicants. These are areas such as probation status, number of community endorsements or sponsorships, or additional activities.

While each community is free to design their recruitment procedures to better fit the needs to their specific games, these designs, should they run contrary to the benefit of TCO as a player association, are still subject to Council review with the possibility of
