Because
of the overlapping nature inherent to a multi-game platform, the player
is naturally the most important aspect. TCO respects the privacy of her
members. The intent is that information submitted provides a general overview
of the player and the player's interest while not evolving to the point
of being intrusive upon the applicant. The Personal Bio shall not be distributed
openly or selectively beyond the confines of the specific recruiters of
a respective game or beyond Council review. The information an accepted
member wishes to share about their personal lives with the community of
TCO is subject to their discretion.
2b.
Character Bio
TCO is designed to be a Role-Playing friendly community and environment.
As such a write up including a character's background should be submitted
for review. The character bios are multi-use. They display a player's
exposure, familiarity, and open mindedness to Role-Playing. At the same
time and being a prerequisite to membership, it provides a glimpse into
a player's willingness to cooperate within the confines of the community
as a whole.
These
bios are not intended to be the lengths of literary novels. The key thing
is that an applicant display a focus of thought and intent.
2c.
Game, Character, Guild/PA, and Server Disclosure
Applicants of all games should be asked if they are currently playing
or have played SWG, EQII, and WoW. If "Yes", applicants are
required to list which games, their characters, the servers, and any guilds/PAs
of which they are or were a member. Failure to do so may result in expulsion.
3.
Game Recruiter Review
Applicants and applications are subject to review of the game recruiters
or process setup and maintained among the TCO players within a specific
game. This is the first stage of review and as such, they are free to
reject or pass on an application for further review.
4.
Council Review
Council is the last stage of review and ultimately is the last hurdle
for membership within TCO. As such, the Council may reject, approve, or
send back an application with a request that additional information be
provided. Likewise, it is suggested that any comments of in-game activity
and participation should be made known in order to be taken into consideration.
4a.
Council Notification to Game Recruiters
The Council will inform the game recruiters of a successful or unsuccessful
application. When successful, forum access will be granted to the new
member shortly after. It is the responsibility of the game recruiters
to ensure that the new member has received access and to inform the Council
if an oversight has occurred.
4b.
The Council Timeframe and Discourse for exceeding the allotted time
The Council has a timeframe of one week from the posted date declaring
that an application is ready for Council review, of which to reject, approve,
or send back an application with a request that additional information
be provided. Should the Council fail to comment within the time allotted,
the application is defaulted to the judgment of the game recruiters and
or game community. Since applications are submitted to Council after game
communities approve, it is natural to assume that all non-commented applications
are defaulted as an approved application and the applicant is accepted
as a member of TCO.
5.
Community Notification
As a result of the successful application, it is the responsibility of
the game leadership to submit a welcoming thread in the (yet undefined)
forum welcoming the new member and allowing for members throughout the
TCO community to introduce themselves. It is heavily encouraged that all
new applicants respond in these threads and as such the game community
should encourage them to do so.
6.
Probation Status
New Members will be placed on probation status for the time period of
60 days beginning on the day of Council approval or deferment. Probationary
members will have full member access and be treated as such. Should the
Council take action to revoke membership during probation, the Council
will bring the topic up for discussion among the game leaders as a means
to ensure that a misunderstanding has not transpired or that it is not
a matter of simple miscommunication. |
