Black Desert Online.
Have not tried it myself, but its supposedly an open world sandbox game. The people I know that have played it have compared it to archeage (and not in good ways) so I didn't bother checking it out during the betas.

I'm planning on picking it up this week; it has a pretty low cost of entry (and doesn't really penalize you for not splurging on the costlier option), and it's free to play thereafter. Respecs cost money, but by all accounts you never actually need to respec because you never stop getting skill points.
Glorck is playing and says it's great (did you guys ever sort out his account on here, Relan?). I'm going to try to play on his server, but I don't remember which one he said. Starts with an O or something; will update when he gets back to me on it.Comment

I am here! I haven't really been doing much other than browsing reddit until recently, so I haven't been very active... and I might have forgotten to follow up on the membership thing for a bit. Anywho, everything is sorted.
The game can be a bit complicated, and the documentation isn't quite there for a lot of it, but there is definitely a lot you can do. The combat system is pretty cool and that is introduced at a pretty good pace. The peripherals like crafting, node and worker management, and gathering can be a little complicated to start out with, but it gets easier once you get used to how it works. Also, the story isn't the greatest. Very fun and addictive overall though.Comment

It's what I'm playing on my off nights. Unfortunately, I'm playing on one of the EU servers (Alustin) due to having EU WildStar friends there. (And I've put in so much time, I'm not willing to swap to NA and start over, lol.) I'm not even really trying to level, just spending all my time horse breeding, trading, and fishing. Since I don't care too much about PvP, I don't care much about ping/rubberbanding. I'm also the co-host of Black Desert Broadcast, a BDO Podcast available on iTunes, SoundCloud, and Stitcher. Ive been playing since beta, the game is gorgeous. enuff to make me forget female drakkens Fyre. Im on the Uno server, Lowbrau Brewmeister is the name. Now I have to go make beer for my workers so they stay fat and happy while they make me a storage hold for my fishing boat. Just have to chop down a few hundred trees, mine some coal and iron so I can melt them into steel bars, get enough contribution points to buy a boat part manufacturing factory, and boom a couple extra storage slots for my fishing boat. look me up if you want to spend countless hours on the high seas in search of the elusive coelacanth. Assuming you have activated all the relative island nodes and leveled you fishing to professional level5 so you can use steel rods. Otherwise whats the point? Yeah this game is pure torture, but for some reason I cant stop playing it. Probably all the female toons splitting wood in their underwear.Comment
